据《2018年中国宠物行业白皮书》预计，2018年中国宠物消费市场将达1708亿元，相比2017年增长27%。

该白皮书称，目前我国城镇养宠人数达7355万。其中养狗人数和养猫人数分别为3390万、2258万。

It shows that 87.5% of dog owners were women, half of them with a bachelor's degree orabove and the majority employees in companies. The cat-owning group is mainly white-collarworkers and students, with young people more inclined to have cats.

Owners are prepared to lavish money on pets, with the estimated annual spending 5,016 yuanfor each animal in 2018, up 15% from the previous year.

Data also showed that bath shampoo and other fur care items, toys, collars and leashes werethe main products dog owners bought. The top three cat supplies were found to be litter, toysand scratch boards.

数据还显示，狗主人购买的主要用品是浴液香波及其他护毛产品、玩具、项圈和牵引带。而猫用品排在前三的是猫砂、玩具和猫抓板。
