Building on the success of the original vehicle energy management simulator, the new ones not only ease the design of related sub-systems and components, but also efficiently assess energy flows within the systems. The automotive-oriented simulators include new templates for parallel hybrid development with Continuously Variable Transmission (CVT) and start-and-stop templates for sequential gearbox architectures amongst others.

Another focus in this release is electric and hybrid electric vehicle design.
